{Old Navy} $19 Jeans
Have you picked up your pair of $19 jeans at Old Navy this week? I tend to get a lot of my "basics" from Old Navy online, like tanks, tees and jeans.
I ordered the pair below in the grey slate shown and also in the blue black {a very dark blue}. I still intend on getting a grey suede boot or bootie which is why I went with the skinny jean. Skinny jeans also look nice with a flat.
Along with that I ordered this black belted cardigan and a couple of pairs of their $5 wedge flip flops {I tend to wear these around the house and on casual out-and-about days year round}.

Dreaming of Fall

I won't start singing Nancy Sinatra on ya, but I'm in the mood for a little fall fashion and first on my list is a pair of grey, slouchy boots. I like this Steve Madden pair above and they're under a $100.I"m "blessed" with humongous calves, so I'll have to break out ye olde measuring tape for these ones, but, if anything, at least the bootie is still around for this fall.
But a slouchy suede boot would be oh, so Stevie, wouldn't it? Her music seems to be on my mind lately.

This definitely reflects how my own home decor tastes have evolved over the last two years. I will mix and match any style, anywhere! If I love it, I use it, simple as that. It makes for a much more interesting and personally satisfying space to live in. It also really frees you to be creative and think of new ways to use existing pieces you already have which, as a great side benefit, can be very economical.

"Funny Style" English by Chelsea
My 19 year old daughter, Chelsea, has a funny way with words. She constantly takes common colloquialisms and turns them on their head, unintentionally, which is always good for a laugh.
Today, we were on the phone, and she was explaining that my grand baby, Lani, has been sleeping a lot lately and must be going through a "growth sprout".
Love it! Keep watering our lil' sprout!

Strike silver in your decorating
Nice article by Mary Carol Garrity about using silver and silver plate items in your home decor.
I have several silver plate trays that I use around the house as catch-alls and have a small collection of silver baby spoons and serving pieces.
